Minor’s flag rugby – U6 through U10
The minor flag rugby program is a non-contact version of rugby, for girls and boys ages U6, U8, and U10.
Flag rugby maintains all of the speed and excitement of the game. Goals are to develop fitness, ball handling skills, and creative playmaking in a fun-filled collaborative atmosphere.
The program runs Saturday mornings at Q.E.C.V.I. field for nine weeks beginning on April 28th 2012.
Minor’s contact rugby- U12 and U14
At U12 & U14, contact is introduced as part of a skills development component. U12 & U14 is a simplified form of the senior game.

Q: How do I register for minor programs?
A: Please visit our Registration page for registration information and program costs.
Q: What equipment do I receive with my registration?
A: Your registration includes the following.
-Rugby Canada players insurance
-Sublimated Kukri Jersey
-Shorts
-Socks
-Rugby Ball (size 3-5 depending on age)
-hot dogs and freezies each practice!
Q: If I already have a kit do I need to purchase a new one?
A: If you already have kit that fits from a previous season you are not required to pay for a new one. Instead you will pay a “returning player” fee that does not include the kit purchase. You can also choose to pay a full registration fee and get a new kit. Ask the Minor’s minister for information regarding kit trade in.
Q: What equipment do I need to provide?
A: You will need to provide the following:
-Cleats. Rugby cleats are not necessary, soccer, football or baseball cleats are often also worn.
-Mouthguard. This is manditory for all contact programs and must be brought every day.
-Water. Bring plenty of water each practice as we do not have access to a tap at the field.
Q: Do boys and girls practice together?
A: Some programs are mixed and some are separate, the breakdown is as follows:
U6 – mixed, non-contact
U8 – mixed, non-contact
U10 – mixed, non-contact
U12 – mixed, contact
u14 – boys and girls separate, contact
